Our team

Paula Read

Paula has been Manager of Beenham Pre-School since 2014 but has worked in the setting since 2003. Paula says “I have seen lots of changes in my time here. Thankfully Early Years has moved away from worksheets and desks towards a far more child-led, play-based approach which is more successful and more fun for children and staff”. Paula is also the SENCO, Designated Safeguarding Lead, a Key Person and First Aider.

Paula is now a qualified ELSA  having completed her training in the first group of Early Years ELSAs in West Berkshire.

Alison

Alison is our Deputy Manager. She is also Deputy Designated Safeguarding
Lead and our ECAT ELLP (Early Language Lead Practitioner). Alison joined us as a 1:1 Support worker in 2015 and has since completed her Level 3 qualification and is now a Key Person and a First Aider. 

Louise

Lou is the newest member of our Team and is working with us as Bank Staff, offering cover for staff absence and also to enable other staff to undertake more training. Lou has been connected with our setting as a parent for a number of years and we are very happy to have her join us in this role. 

Rachel

Rachel joined our Team in November 2021. Rachel has a Level 3 qualification and will be working as a Key Person.
Rachel has 7 years of experience working in Early Years in both nursery and a school environments and has a particular interest in SEN (Special Educational Needs), she is also a First Aider.  

Marie

Marie joined our team four years ago after working in education for many
years as a 1:1 support worker and assistant in a Primary School. Marie has a
Level 2 qualification and works with all of the children along with some 1:1
support. Marie is a First Aider.

Hailey

Hailey is the newest member of our Team !  Having supported us as Bank Staff since 2021 and got to know us all she has now joined as a permanent member of staff. Hailey is Level 2 qualified and will be working as a Key Person.
