I am so very proud to have been part of the Beenham Pre-School Team since 2003. We provide a vibrant, friendly and nurturing space using our 'in the moment' approach to ensure that every child learns at their own pace and is able to express their own interests. We benefit from a wonderful rural setting with outside spaces to play and explore, an experienced and enthusiastic staff, and strong links to our village community. As a team we work together to challenge ourselves and reflect on our provision so that we can provide the best possible early years education for the families in our care. Welcome to Beenham Pre-School.

I am so pleased to welcome you to Beenham Pre-School where we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and safe space for children to thrive.

I am privileged to work with passionate, innovative and caring teachers and it is such a pleasure to see this bring out the joy and confidence in our children. This constantly reassures me that our Pre-School is striving to bring out the potential in every child.

As a committee we keep an active role in supporting and guiding the Pre-School and as Chair of the committee I particularly enjoy working with Paula to ensure our families and staff team feel engaged and supported throughout their time with us.

At Beenham Pre-School we adopt a restorative and relational approach to behaviour. Supportive and nurturing relationships are at the centre of everything we do!

At Beenham Pre-School, we offer high quality term-time childcare in a beautiful, rural setting where we can take advantage of our excellent outdoor facilities. Our high adult to child ratio and a Key Person approach to planning ensures that each child receives an early years education which is tailor-made to their individual needs. We provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment where children can learn together through play. We offer the option of cooked lunches along with “Active AM” and Gym Classes, outings, walks, cookery sessions and lots and lots of free flow access to the “outside” !

We welcome children from Beenham, the surrounding villages and beyond ! There is ample free parking close to our setting and we are easily accessible from the A4 between Reading and Newbury.

OFSTED complimented us on our “rich learning environment”, our “high expectations” and the “rapid progress” made by the children in our setting.

We are really proud to say that we are a Makaton Friendly Preschool and we are currently the only preschool in Berkshire to have received this award from the National Makaton charity! We practise our Makaton signs daily as part of our routines and in songs. We also have a Makaton teacher that visits us regularly to teach us more signs!
